Exploring the National Museum of Fine Arts


This November I got the chance to visit one of the three museums of the National Museums of the Philippines.

It was my first time to visit the National Museum of Fine Arts and I was amazed with the exhibits and the galleries in the entire building. I feel like I traveled to the past and learn the rich history of the country.

One of the exhibits that caught my attention is the station of the cross on one of the galleries. The stations of the cross came from the La Purisima Concepcion Church in my home province, Eastern Samar.

When is it open?

Tuesdays to Sundays excluding religious holidays


What time is it open?

9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM


Who can visit?

Fully vaccinated individuals with vaccination cards and ID


How to book a visit

Visit reservation.nationalmuseum.gov.ph to schedule at least a day before your intended visit. You can book a solo trip or a group trip with a maximum of four companions for an AM (9-12) or PM (1-4) session. 

 

Safety protocols

Have your temperature taken at the entrance (persons with a temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius and above will not be allowed entrance along with those with fever and flu-like symptoms)

Accomplish a health declaration form through the StaySafePh app

Visitors are required to wear a mask at all times

Each museum could only accommodate a maximum of 100 visitors per session
